Days 1 and 2

They say that the journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step, and I suppose that's true, but my journey of one hundred pounds (plus a few extra) begins with a single drop of sweat.

I forgot just how hard you go when you start P90X. But you know what? It really felt great. Yeah, I stunk afterwards, and yeah, I was slightly sore, but it was worth it.

Then I stepped on the scale for my initial weigh in, and let me tell you, seeing 304.4 lbs was both depressing and inspiring.

Enter day two... One thing I should probably explain to any reader (should you exist) is that I'm a divorced dad. My awesome boys (henceforth known as L and I) live with my ex most of the time. Sadly, I only get to see them Wednesday overnights and on alternating days on the weekend. So, I had them this morning. Any other morning, they'd be asleep long enough for me to work out, and instead, I'd sit at my desk on my computer.

This morning, I wanted to keep the momentum going, but wouldn't you know it, they were awake... Not conducive to getting things done. But I did it anyways. And L (my oldest) jumped in to help me.

I wanted to type while I thought about it... so, here I am, and I think it's time to hit the showers.

Gotta keep pressing play.
